Against Video
So I’ve been feeling this for a while, but it’s been increasing over time. I like video online less and less. It started with the quality gripes I have against YouTube, and aided by my decreasing attention span. The annoyance at unneeded audio, and combined with the problems of listening in an office. The real problem though - I can read information far faster than I can listen to it spoken. A ton of video is just talking heads, which is fine for the evening news when they want to show a quick clip, but terrible for digestion. Just let me read it all in 1 min versus watching it for 20.
– Also, thank you staff of RonPaul.com for always proving transcripts.
Seriously… your becoming more like Calculon every day. What you said is true for most. But the need for video and audio is clear when you look at those with disabilities. CASE. AND. POINT. (not a good point though) Your thrashing of my comment can begin now.
